At Ramat Shalom Beth Israel, we believe that each of us has a responsibility to engage in Tikun Olam, healing the world. This is why we partner with various social service agencies that are making a difference in our local community. On a regular basis, Ramat Shalomniks volunteer to feed the hungry, house the homeless, shelter abused animals, clean our beaches and bring smiles to children who have lost everything. Within our community, many are involved in our Mitzvah Committee which makes certain that our families are embraced during the highs and lows of life.
Ramat Cares is a wonderful, compassionate group of RSBI members ready and waiting to do various mitzvot for their community when the need arises, from celebrating simchas to supporting during difficult times. We hand-knit healing shawls, baby blankets and bonnets, bake challahs, make chicken soup and prepare full meals, do home/hospital visits, help with Shiva, make phone calls and assist with various deliveries. Those who have chosen to be a part of Ramat Cares welcome the opportunity to give back and make a difference.
If you are one of those people and would like to join our group, please contact Cantor Jodi. We would love to have you!
